The Blueberry Overnight Oats That Make Breakfast While You Sleep

FIBRE-RICH BREAKFAST

Five minutes tonight buys you a calm morning tomorrow. Stir oats, chia seeds, milk and yogurt in a jar, fold in a handful of Cabera organic frozen blueberries, and put it in the fridge. By the time you wake up, the oats are soft, the chia has thickened everything into a spoonable cream, and the berries have turned the whole jar purple.

No stove, no blender, no decisions before coffee. You open the fridge and breakfast is there.

Why this recipe works

• Frozen blueberries do the flavouring. They thaw overnight and release their juice into the oats, so you get blueberry in every spoonful without adding syrup.

• Fibre from three directions. Rolled oats, chia seeds and blueberries each bring their own, and Greek yogurt rounds it out with protein.

• It travels. A jar with a lid goes from fridge to bag to desk.

Prep: 5 min · Chill: overnight · Serves 1

Ingredients

• ½ cup Cabera frozen blueberries

• ½ cup rolled oats

• 1 tbsp chia seeds

• ½ cup milk of choice

• ⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt

• ½ tsp cinnamon

• 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)

• Chopped walnuts or pumpkin seeds (optional)

Method

1. Mix oats, chia seeds, milk, yogurt and cinnamon in a jar or bowl.

2. Fold in half the blueberries.

3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

4. In the morning, top with the remaining blueberries and optional walnuts or pumpkin seeds. Add a splash of milk if needed.

Meal-prep tip: Prepare two or three jars at once for easy breakfasts during the week.

Make it your own

• Swap the fruit. Cabera frozen strawberries or mango chunks work the same way.

• Go dairy-free. Use a plant-based milk and yogurt.

• Sweeten to taste. Stir the maple syrup in with the oats, or drizzle it on top in the morning.
