Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • 4 cups frozen organic steak-cut fries (20x10 mm)

  • 2 cups cheese curds

  • 2 cups beef or chicken gravy (store-bought or homemade)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups beef or chicken broth (if making gravy)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake organic steak-cut fries for 25-30 minutes until crispy.

  2. If making gravy: Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour to make a roux, and cook for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in broth, cooking until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Place hot fries on a serving dish, top with cheese curds, and pour hot gravy over to melt the cheese.

  4. Serve immediately for a classic Canadian experience.

Why It’s Great: Your organic steak-cut fries, with their thick, bistro-style cut, are perfect for poutine, holding up to the rich gravy and melty cheese curds for an authentic Quebec dish.
