Homemade White Spinach Pizza

Craving pizza but want something lighter and packed with greens? This homemade white spinach pizza (no tomato sauce!) is garlicky, cheesy, and super easy to make. It's a perfect healthy twist on classic pizza – loaded with iron-rich spinach, creamy cheeses, and that irresistible crispy crust. Great for weeknights, date nights, or impressing friends!

Ingredients (for 1 large pizza, serves 3-4)

  • 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought, ~300-400g)

  • 300g (1 bag) of Cabera Frozen Spinach (thaw and squeeze out excess water)

  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

  • 200g mozzarella cheese, shredded or sliced

  • 100-150g ricotta or feta cheese (for creaminess and tang)

  • Salt, black pepper, red chili flakes (to taste)

  • Optional extras: fresh basil, parmesan, lemon zest, red onion slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the highest temperature (ideally 250°C/480°F) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside if possible.

  2. In a pan, heat 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (don't burn!).

  3. Add spinach (in batches if needed), cook 4-6 minutes until wilted and most moisture evaporates. Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Set aside.

  4. Stretch or roll out your dough on floured surface into a thin circle. Brush with a little olive oil.

  5. Spread the garlic-spinach mixture evenly. Dollop ricotta/feta, then top generously with mozzarella.

  6. Bake 10-14 minutes until crust is golden, edges crispy, and cheese bubbly & lightly browned.

  7. Finish with fresh basil, extra chili flakes, a drizzle of olive oil, and lemon zest for brightness. Slice and enjoy hot!

Tips: Cabera Frozen Spinach discs are great for convenience (no chopping!). This pizza is lower in calories than saucy versions but full of flavor. Pair with a simple salad.

Bon appétit! 🍕🥬
